While visually appealing, I found this film rather hopeless. I didn't have any attachment to any of the characters in the film, and felt like it didn't need to finish watching because of the lack of appeal. I kept thinking Keanu Reeves would go all Neo on things and slash 'em up Matrix style. Sadly, this never happened. Parent's should know that while there is very little profanity, there are some images that would frighten children and there is quite a lot of violence. A suicide/beheading is implied through shadow, and many men are seen being beaten with staffs and fighting with swords. Overall, it did not leave me motivated and I felt like I lost 2 hours of my life that I will never have back.
