I enjoy BBC's version of Pride and Prejudice, and a comedy about a Jane Austen themed resort sounds like a good time. Unfortunately I didn't find 'Austenland' to be as funny as I hoped. It was mostly cheese. And the usually funny Jennifer Coolidge (an Austenland patron) was a little too annoying. Granted, I am not in the target demographic, and there were a couple of girls that were clearly enjoying themselves.
Part of the reason I wanted to see 'Austenland' was for its local connection, with the book written by Utah author Shannon Hale. Thankfully there is not much in the way of profanity, but there is a bit too much of crude humor.
