No. No it isn’t. When a director of a movie (Josh Trank in this case) tweets about how he was dissatisfied with the result of his efforts on the night before the movie opens, well, you know the movie is in big trouble. While it begins in typical and enjoyable superhero origin story fashion, it devolves into a bit of a ho-hum trudge. When the villain finally shows up (way too late, I might add) with vague goals to fight boring heroes, well, you kind of wish the movie, if not the world, would end.
