The film contains brief but bloody violence, graphic marital lovemaking with fleeting nudity, semi-graphic lesbian sensuality, mature themes, including mental illness and suicide, at least one use of profanity as well as some rough and crude language... See Full ReviewFebruary 9th, 2013 · Details1 Thank ·
The moral compass inside me warns against recommending this film to anybody because of all the sexuality. However, I cannot deny that the dark twist that happens near the end made me think that it’s movie of ingenuity! Watch with your filters on MOST and the film will last only 30 minutes but you will catch the general jest and be amazed as justice meets and punches human manipulation in the face!... See Full ReviewFebruary 10th, 2014 · Details

This psychological thriller has several clever plot twists that keep the audience guessing as the story unfolds. That said, the content is out of bounds for a Dove Family Approved Seal. Profanity, nudity and a lesbian love scene spoil an otherwise intensely fascinating story.
The side effect of this movie left me somewhat depressed, wishing that this film was made without assaulting one's sensitivities... See Full ReviewFebruary 14th, 2013 · Details
In Side Effects, he [Director Soderbergh] turns a cleverly overwrought, at times knowingly pulpy scenario into a pop projection of our most lurid fears about antidepressants... See Full Review
This one brings together threads from a lot of his [Soderbergh] work. Crime. Sex. Complicated yuppies. Smart people doing heedless things. Corruption in high places. Ablixa can even be seen as a science-fiction element. The Soderbergh film this one doesn't draw from is "Che." Soderbergh came, he saw, he conquered, and now he's moving on... See Full Review
